“When two 20-somethings end up serving at a rich lady’s birthday party, all hell breaks loose when they find her husband’s dead body, and she makes them help her hide it”

The Bunny Dip is a screwball comedy in the spirit of What's Up, Doc? (1972) and Death at a Funeral (2007), but for a generation that can barely afford groceries and is rapidly losing its grip on reality. When Liz accidentally gets Charlie fired, the two end up serving at a narcissistic former Playboy bunny's birthday party, where they find her dead husband upstairs, and that’s just the beginning.

Wild, fast-paced, and driven by its chaotic characters, The Bunny Dip is a film about the fear of not knowing what’s next and the quirky individuals who stumble through it anyway. With elements of satire, absurdism, and emotional honesty, it’s Parasite meets Anyone But You.

We are committed to building a pipeline for indie filmmaking in North Carolina while creating a final product that’s ready for festival circuits, community screenings, and eventual streaming release. With a smart budget strategy, growing support network, and relentless creative energy, The Bunny Dip is poised to make a chaotic birthday party and all.

Synopsis

Liz and Charlie are forced to work together at Angela Peterhawk’s Playboy Bunny-themed birthday party. It’s your usual celebration, presents, cake, and the birthday girl murdering her husband!

When Charlie and Liz stumble onto Angela’s husband’s corpse, their night takes a turn for the worse as Angela enlists them to make sure her birthday party can continue without a hitch. As the night goes on, from there we discover how everyone copes with the fear of what comes next in life and the lengths people will go to for any little bit of control over it.
